KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s unit VADS Bhd has teamed up with software company Parallels to expand VADS’ cloud services offerings in the country.
VADS said on Tuesday the collaboration included deploying Parallels’ automation software-as a-service (SaaS) platform, enabling VADS to rapidly deliver cloud services for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia, efficiently and cost-effectively.
“The automation solution has enabled VADS to implement automatic provisioning of Microsoft Office 365, eliminating inefficiencies from paperwork movement between internal departments for provisioning of cloud services,” it said. This had reduced the high risk of errors from traditional processes.
VADS chief executive officer Ahmad Azhar Yahya said the customers were looking to leverage on products in the cloud, such as Microsoft Office 365, and they want to be able to use the services immediately upon request.
He said the partnership with Parallels enabled it to implement a solution that could deliver speedy provisioning and billing of the Office 365 platform.
“It also allows us to bundle it with any additional cloud services that we plan to offer in the future. This is part of VADS’ strategy to further strengthen its leadership in cloud services and for its business expansion in Malaysia,” said Azhar.
