You won GOLD medal as the best contact centre trainer in the entire Asia Pacific in this years regional contest for Top Performers, what made you enter the competition in the first place?
The trust given by my team,boss,company,family .. all these contributed to be one of my major reason to enter this prestigious competition.
How did you and your colleagues celebrate your win and what recognition did you receive internally and externally for this fantastic achievement?
getting a big hug from family upon my arrival, receiving SMS’s from team, bosses after the winning anouncement already made my day..email trail blast is all over its more than enough and i know its in their heart winning it for the team,company and country is already a celebration!
How did the win change things for you personally?
Things / chances can be seen in a wider horizon, best practise doesn’t come from your own thought and feeling..it comes from the learning & comparison that you made during the event.. and of course..the perception of a career in contact centre does change for some people..
What impact did the win have on the morale of the centre overall?
As in training perspective, its kinda bonus factor as people have more confidence in attending our training as we can boost to have the best trainer/training best practises in APAC call centre industry.. easy to get the buy in for other training projects.
Looking back at your win at the regional awards, can you share some insights into how you felt when we announced you had won GOLD and what this amazing award meant to you personally?
wowww… memories flashback..hmmm.. The feeling is ‘priceless’ .. u know that all these challenge,target and hope on your shoulder has been delivered to the expectation… personally is a moral booster for me to prove and challenge myself to do better and better.. its a definite .. challengeee!
What would you say to others who have thought about entering these awards but are hesitant because they don’t know how they will do?
have fun..u know who you are..and its about learning on top of the competition.
What ideas, tips etc did you take away from the regional conference that you are, or will be, implementing?
Quite a few, 1 will be training calibration among units and it should be initiated from the training team itself..
How did the conference compare against other events or against your expectations?
The call centre is a unique field.. the expectation was great..but the best thing is the real event performed to excellent ! kudos to the organizer, delegates ..Raj & team.
How valuable has the entire awards process been in benchmarking your performance and looking for areas that you can improve in?
All i can say is..the process, selection, wiating, learning..is all a memorable event to remember… lotsa improvement needed .. anyway anyhow..we are all getting bunch of experience from this event and defenitely in a way we can use that to improve ourself..
In summary, how has winning the GOLD affected you and those around you?
expectation of performance is higher ! Being a role model makes u realize that you are an inspiration to others and that your team is being regarded highly .. its a positive vibesto me and others around me !
